Wow, I love my flat iron and I use it all the time!  Flat irons are so great!  I use an expensive one now and have used various less pricey ones as well.  The ones I found to be great are the Conair brands.  They are at such a great price and they do the job as well as I want it.  Regardless of how cheap you get it, you definitely want one with the ceramic plates so that it does not overburn your hair.  As you know, flat irons can harm your hair so its always good to make sure you use the one with the ceramic plates.

Conair has them with the ceramic plates at prices from $20 to $40.00.  You can find many choices at Target and Walmart or various beauty supplies stores like "Sallys Beauty supplies.  You can visit http://www.target.com to purchase it online if that is your preference.  Here is the link to my favorite one.  Its a Conair Ceramic Titanium straightner with silicone at 1 1/8 inch.  Depending on the thickness of your hair, you may have to get a 2 inch one.  http://www.target.com/s/188-8226527-2412749?_encoding=UTF8&search-alias=tgt-index&keywords=conair%20flat%20iron&searchSize=30&searchView=grid5&searchNodeID=1038576&searchPage=1&searchRank=relevancerank

  • Flat Iron
  • Ideal for Straightening
  • 1 Power Levels
  • 3 Temperature Levels

It is nice to have temperature levels to choose from so you can decide how hot you want the item.  Add some smoothing gel to put on your hair once you have straightened it so you can keep that look longer which you may need with the less expensive straight irons.  I hope you enjoy!!

There are a variety of places where you can buy cheap flat irons. I personally like Revlon flat irons. I have been using revlon for three years now. My second choice is Conair. They make great flat irons as well. I have listed a few options for you below.

Revlon Amber Waves Flat Iron:
1.5" ceramic plates for soft, smooth styles. "V" shaped edge gets close to the roots., eliminating creases. Rounded edges for flipping hair out and creating volume. Rheostat dial with variable heat settings. Instant heat recovery Separate ON/Off switch with "On" indicator light.

May I recommend either flat iron below. These are great for when you are traveling so you won't have to pull out your expensive one. I
myself wouldn't want to take out my expensive flat iron. I would be afraid of leaving it behind. Revlon and Conair flat irons are great to use and will do the job. The prices are even affordable.
