Hi, and thank you for choosing IMShopping!

I recommend the Nike Musique VI, available at Zappos.   Very inexpensive, from a great brand, and comes in different color combinations.  Here's more:

# Feel the beat flow through your body as 'you shake what your mama gave you' in these women's Musique VI dancing shoes from Nike®. Perfect for Zumba!
# Leather upper (and mesh) provides support and breathability.
# Phylon midsole with flex-grooves for cushioning and flexibility.
# Non-marking rubber outsole with pivot-point for enhanced performance on gym and studio surfaces.
# 10.00 oz.
# Product measurements were taken using size 7. Please note that measurements may vary by size.

Please see my other recommendations.  If you have more questions, ask IMShopping!

Zumba, dance meets Aerobics. Which shoes are the best for keeping your balance and remaining in complete control, the best are the Nike Air Thread.  Buying the right shoes means your shoes will have a smoother sole than a regular athletic shoe so there is less tread on the bottom of the shoe. You can glide easier for those salsa moves. You will also have multi-directional support for movement that is lateral or horizontal so you get support moving in all directions.

If Nike is not your style, look into Ryka D's. They are another amazing Zumba shoe. You will feel as if you are dancing with socks on, minus the sliding. Another great tip for anyone into Zumba is to back up yur Zumba moves by adding some extra cushion. Shoes just do not have enough cushion, especially for Zumba. You will want to reinforce by adding a nice insole.

I thought this article was very interesting and provides excellent suggestions, you'll want to avoid a running sneaker.  There are many dance shoe options available that I've listed below.

Zumba shoes. If you want to Zumba, you need to pay attention to what you have on your feet. Wear a running shoe, something that has too much tread, and you'll risk torquing your knee on some of the twisting, hip-shaking stuff. Wear something with little support or cushion and you risk all kinds of injury like stress fracture, twisted ankles, and lots of other fun things. Finding a shoe that is right for you can be hard--how do you know a shoe will work for you until you use it? The trial and error involved in finding the right shoe can be trying (and expensive!) but it's a lot better than winding up injured.

Here's some suggestions to get you started:

Nike has great dance sneakers on their site:
Nike Musique III
Nike Shox Electro
Nike Shox Q'Vida
Nike Shox AM
Nike Air Max Melodic
Nike Air Capri
Nike Shox MC
