Pros: The Tatung Induction Cooktop TICT-1300 Watt device is perfect for rice, noodles, hard-boiled eggs, instant coffee and tea. It
ismuch simpler, cheaper and cleaner to use than a gas or electric http://www.stove.It shall be my soup machine from now on. Best of all, you can unplug itand take it on a trip to cook your own foods and brew your own teasafely.
Cons: This device is notdesigned for stir frying. Gas or electric stoves work much better. Theadvantage of the induction cooker is the multitasking that clears upspace for meat braising on the gas/electric stove. Even though I don'trecommend this unit for stir frying it is so brilliant that thisshortcoming is far outweighed by the elegant ability of the unit tocook water-based foods.
Other Thoughts: A portable induction oven sounds like a great idea.
