Where can I get a cordless phone set with 4 plus head sets without the base set having a answering machine built in it since comcast has a built in answering system in my service

The cheapest 4 headset system without an answering machine I could find was the Panasonic KX-TG9344T 1.9 GHz Digital DECT 6.0 system which will run you about $105 to $115 online. A similar system made by Panasonic, AT&T or Uniden with an answering machine will cost less than $90, so you would actually save yourself money by purchasing a system with an answering machine. When it comes to these types of multiple headset phone systems I believe Panasonic is the market leader. Since AT&T outsources their landline phones to third parties the build quality will vary by model and I would recommend you actually look at an AT&T phone in person before purchasing it. I have seen both some really good AT&T cordless phones and some that are a little underwhelming. Other manufacturers to consider are V-tech and Uniden.


The Panasonic KX-TG1034S is essentially the same system as the above mentioned KX-TG9344T, but with the addition of an answering machine. Both of these systems are DECT 6.0 and expandable up to six headsets. If you have a large office you may want to consider the AT&T CL82409 which is expandable up to 12 headsets. I too have search for the same thing for my home and there are not many units without the built in answering system.  I purchased a unit that has one and I don't use it at all but I got a great deal on the system so I purchased it anyway.  I found a system that is expandable up to 12 handsets and the base does not come with a built in answering system.  It does have a voicemail indicator light which is a great feature with your existing answering service.
