No, you cannot play XBOX 360 games in the original XBOX. You can, however, play the original games in the XBOX 360. The XBOX 360 has recently dropped in price to only $200.

While some XBox games are backwards-compatible and will play in an XBox 360, due to hardware upgrades, XBox 360 games will not play in a regular XBox.

Some xbox 1 games will play but most will not play without a adapter for the graphics.
