I need a good camera preferably shockproof because I tend to drop them. I'd love one that takes really clear pictures and that option where you can have a selected color on black & white. Any suggestions?

One of the best shockproof cameras on the market right now is also waterproof, dust proof, and able to handle temperatures down to 14 degrees Fahrenheit. Canon PowerShot D10 is a rugged Point-n-Shoot camera with excellent picture quality and has recieved very favorable reviews. It is a little on the pricey side however. As for the second part of your question, you should be able to accomplish this using photo editing software. I know that I have seen this done by people with Paint Shop Pro. You might also be able to accomplish this using the free Google program Picasa. This link shows you 12 effects built into the program, one of them is a "filter black & white" which sounds like what you are trying to accomplish. Hope this helps, thank you for using IMshopping.
