Bunk Beds can be a wonderful thing! Space savers and kid approved, the cheapest bunk bed frames can be found at smartchoicefurniture! For $388, look at the adorable Bookcase Wagon Wheel Bunk Bed! Also available in an extended bookcase size for 0.50 cents cheaper ( just a little larger by 2")! Now that is neat! ~note that this is not with mattress included or bunkie board, but both of those are cheap as well).
Or, go to http://www.Walmart.com and look at their selection of children and teen bunk beds. They have wood railing and metal frames. The ones I like are the twin over the full beds. For $187.00 that is pretty good! Kmart also has a decently priced selection online. For $179.99 you can get a white or brown set with safety rails. I think that those are a must have for moving children, as my daughter has fallen from hers before. (Luckily she is fine, and a much calmer sleeper now) Finally, I would recommend looking at sites like Craigslist or other local classifieds. You can always find cheap sets there, and naturally you'll want to buy new mattresses anyway, so why not see if you can't snag a local deal on the frame and save even more! Or talk to family and friends to see if they have a set they are not using. For example, the set I have came from my aunt. It was the set we used growing up. It was handed down to us after my mother and her siblings were through with it. So a 50+ year bunk bed set with the addition of reinforced wooden slats and a safety rail is still getting great use! Good luck and happy shopping!
