are vivitar digital cameras good ? what about vivitar model 8025s ?

Vivitar cameras are really great and the brand is highly rated by consumers. The model 8025 is one of my favorites cameras. It takes the most accurate and high quality photos for an affordable price. They are also on sale right now,so buying this camera won't ruin your wallet.Summer is coming up and it will be great to photograph the roadtrips,the flowers,or just any of the precious moments in your life.

I bought 2 in august 09 and got 2 different chargers, one works and one dont, one was for my daughter for christmas and called over 7 times to get them to replace the wrong one with the right one they were all nice about it and kept saying its on its way it will be there in about 5 days or it will be there before christmas usually i would call during the week and they would say it will be there buy monday, so finnally after the 4th call i asked for a supervisor, this guy said he was and that i could just send the camera back and get a total differrent one with a charger if it didnt come it didnt come so i called back AND FOUND OUT HE WASNT A SUPERVISOR SO ASKED FOR ANOTHER ONE, HE SAID HE WAS HE WOULD GET ONE RIGHT OUT DONT HAVE IT CALL AGAIN AND GET A SUPPOSILY SUPERVISOR AND I WOULD HAVE IT BY MONDAY OR I CAN EXCHANGE IT IT STILL ISNT HERE SITTING ON HOLD HERE TO TALK TO THEM AGAIN AND ITS FEB 5,  WHAT 6 MONTHS LATER STILLL DONT HAVE IT .

OH YA PICTURE QUALITY ISNT GREAT NEITHER

Pass on this model, and buyer beware.  The packaging is VERY VERY misleading.  It is not touchscreen and there is no microphone for shooting in "movie mode."  Therefore you will not record sound.  Pictures were ok, but you can get a much better camera for another $10 - $20.

I just purchase one about two days ago and after I downloaded the manual and took the time to read it, I got outstanding picture results. There is a button on the side for close and distant pictures, this button is very important for getting the right results. Fred  

For the most part Vivitar digital cameras are good. Like other products there might be a vivitar digital camera that consumers are not to pleased with. For example consumers give the Vivitar VIVICAM-6200W 6.0 MegaPixel Underwater Camera with 4x Digital Zoom 2.0" LCD 4 out of 5 stars and they give the Vivitar Vivicam 5385 5MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom 3 out of 5 stars. Not every model will be the same but you can find some good Vivitar cameras. Vivitar Vivicam 8025 Black 8.1 MP Digital Camera,, 2.4" LCD Screen, HD Touch Screen is rated 4 out of 5 stars.  While this is a budget product it contains certain features are typically found on higher end products. • 8.1 Megapixel • 2.4 in LCD Display • Video Capture

just out of the box, put it on its highest quality and it takes terrible pictures! I have an old 5.0 mp camera that blows this 8.1 away. do not buy

I am returning my Vivitar 8025. I jsut bought it less than a week ago and am just disgusted with the quality of the pix. I am a simple person that wanted a camera to take random pictures nothing crazy but this cant even take the generic pix correct unless you are standing 100% still for like 45 seconds it seems to get the pix to not come out blurry! I give it a big thumbs down.. two thumbs down.

I am thinking of getting this camera thanks for giving me good information about it im absolutly sure i am going to buy this camera

I wasn't really satisfied with my camera. It took poor pictures and most looked blurry. Hope this helps
