I have become a big fan of Samsung Applicances. They have become one of the best brands for the money.
They have come a long way in the last few years of making their large appliances a quality brand. They are constantly rated at or near the top in consumer reports for their televisions as well as their large appliances.
If you are looking for top of the line (expensive) appliances I would look at the Bosch or Sub-Zero Brands.
