A really great and highly rated game is the Super Smash Bros. Brawl which you can get for as little as $39.99!
specifics:
12th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards Winner: Fighting Game of the Year Duke it out with your favorite Nintendo characters in Super Smash Bros. for the Wii. Solid Snake from the Metal Gear Series makes a special appearance in this title for the Wii game system. The new Smash Bros. will include a number of new playable characters such as Meta Knight from the Kirby games, Pit from Kid Icarus, Zero Suit Samus (i.e. Samus without her armour) from Metroid: Zero Mission, Wario and, most unexpectedly, Solid Snake from Metal Gear and Sonic the Hedgehog, Sega's loveable blue blur! The Nintendogs also make an appearance, although only as an item for obscuring the screen, and each character now seems to have some gigantic new special attacks that take up the whole screen. Not only will the game have an online mode but it is the only major Nintendo title to use the “shell” controller by default rather than the Wii remote.

Also there is Super Mario Galaxy selling for $45.99!
specifics:
  • Join Mario as he ushers in a new era of video games, defying gravity across all the planets in the galaxy
  • Players can run, jump, and battle enemies as they explore the many planets
  • Press buttons, swing the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers, and use the Wii Remote to point at and drag things on-screen
  • Perform mind-bending, low-gravity jumps across wild alien terrain
  • For 1 to 2 players
Also fun, A Boy and His Blob selling for $26.92
specifics:
  • 40 additional challenge levels will put your skills to the ultimate challenge.
  • Experience the heartwarming story through an all-new, hand-drawn and animated presentation designed exclusively for Wii.
  • Teamwork is key: the boy has limited movement and strength, so you must use your blob friend to transform into useful objects to get to things or places the boy cannot access alone.
  • Transform the blob into 15 useful items by feeding him jelly beans such as the all-new Caramel Cannon and Bubble Gum Bouncer and classic beans like the Licorice Ladder, Apple Jack and Tangerine Trampoline.
  • Travel through the Blobolonian Outskirts to the Emperor's Citadel in four breathtaking worlds featuring 40 levels filled with hidden treasures.

There are several Wii Games that are appropriate for all ages. The prices are not bad either. I love the Mario Kart kit below because it comes with the game and the wheel. It supports up to four people on split screen mode and up to twelve people online. The Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 game is difficult to learn, but lots of fun once you get the hang of it. The Guitar Hero kit is a bundle and comes with everything you need to start playing now.
