Apple has announced iPhnoe OS version 3.0 which will add lots of new features, including MMS messaging, copy and paste, and more.

There is a new $99 iPhone that will be released in June of this year. Also, a new iPhone (not the $99 one) will feature direct blogging, video recording, and home screen notifications.
