I would recommend the Samsung BD-P1500.
- Inexpensive
- Great Blu-ray picture quality
- BD-Live ready
- High-definition audio bitstreaming
- So-so image quality for standard DVDs
- No on-board DTS-HD MA decoder
- Some disc-compatibility issues
The next best Blu Ray player is the Samsung 2500. It has all the bells and whistles of the 1500 but the added benefit is - Netflix subscribers can use it to stream videos from that service directly to their TVs.
