Where can I buy unglazed clay pottery for brewing kefir?
Detail added: scmilani - not sure why you changed your answer, the pomaire pot was perfect. The new pot you posted is for fermenting, but it's glazed. thanks anyway (I hope you'll change your answer back so I can pick it as best answer again. . thanks.)
Detail added: (p.s. the teapot is cute, but a little small. . thanks!)
Detail added: scmilani got it! The pots from Pomaire are perfect and unglazed. :)
(and here's an answer as to why you might want an unglazed pot to make yogurt: http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/346900)
Detail added: p.s. there is a whole Italian method of cooking in unglazed clay pots btw.
Detail added: 3. I didn't ask how to brew kefir. . I already know how. I asked where I could find a pot. Read the question like this. . . where can I buy an unglazed pot (so that will breathe), that can hold a liquid. Already have a glass jar. And an unglazed pot is fine. Kefir IS bacteria so it would be the microorganisms in the pot. Nobody's actually answered the question. . . .
Detail added: sigh, Kefir isn't cooked. . .(research!) They Solay Gourmet Pot is the closest thing so far.
Detail added: Kefir is not tea, it's a type of yogurt, and where can I find an unglazed clay pot to brew it - NOT on ebay?
