Planning for Christmas

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! At least it would, if I would go ahead and start decorating. Every time I attempt to decorate, I get these flashbacks from my youth of growing up with a white Christmas tree and blue Christmas ornaments everywhere. Decorating would be much easier if I could get rid of the ghosts of Christmas decorations gone bad.

This year I have a plan. While I was sitting around staring at my blank tree and praying for help. It occurred to me that I have all the help I could ever need.  After searching online, I found some gorgeous ornaments that would be beautiful to display my children’s pictures. Then I noticed a set of beautiful ornaments with little gift wrapped box ornaments inside. They reminded me of some of the nicer decorations my mother had on her tree. I just had to have them. Imagine my surprise when I realized I could order them from Meijer and have them shipped before the holidays!

There was still something missing. With all my shopping it still didn’t feel like Christmas. Every thing looked so nice but it was time to update some of my older decorations.  I started by looking for some beautiful Christmas stockings to hang above my fireplace. I ordered six from Caribbean Charm and had them personalized with our initials. My decorating was almost complete. I was still missing something special. Something that said Christmas, the way Christmas was intended. I figured I would need assistance for this one, so I went over to Facebook and asked if someone could help me find some silver, white, and blue ornaments.  Despite my intentions, what can I say?  I am a stickler for tradition!
