A home theater system can enhance your TV and movie watching experience by adding a great looking television set and surround sound audio. It can be great to watch alone, or used to impress all your friends that come over to watch the big game. It can even be your own at-home movie date. But many of these miniature living room theaters have the drawback of many unsightly cables running across the floor and along walls, making the area look overly cluttered. Recent technology has been able to fix this eyesore of a problem with the advent of the wireless home theater system.

Unfortunately, no wireless home theater system is completely 100% wireless. They do however severely cut back on the amount of wires needed, which is great for the look of the system and the room it’s put into for those that don’t have rooms that are pre-wired for speaker systems. Despite the name “wireless”, there are several connections that have to be made via wire and cables including attaching the transmitter box to your TV, often the front speakers need to be connected via wire to the transmitter, and the rear speakers will need to be plugged in for power as will the transmitter itself.

Often times these wireless home theater systems will have a signal that reaches no more than 100 feet. This is more than adequate if you’re just planning to keep your video and/or audio experience in one room. However, if you want to expand it into other rooms, you may need a more expensive system. You may want to look at a slightly pricier system instead of the cheaper base systems anyway. The phrase “you get what you pay for” really does ring true when it comes to wireless systems as the sound quality of cheap wireless speakers is nowhere near as good as the ones that come with all the wires. However, many of the pricier systems have sound quality that is good enough to become almost undistinguishable from the wired speakers.

Wireless home theater systems are much simpler to install than the wired counterpart. For starters, being nearly without cables, there are far less connections to have to figure out and pay attention to. Set up is fairly simplistic and straight forward and in many cases is just a matter of hooking up the transmitter to the television, plugging it in, and turning it on.

Having been around since 1919, RCA has been one of the leaders in the entertainment and electronic industry. Making everything from professional video cameras used for televised sporting events to personal portable CD players to brand new technology such as the USB Turntable which allows you to play old vinyl records and convert the audio from them into mp3 files on your computer’s harddrive, RCA deals with just about every form of electronic devise and keeps one step ahead on the latest technologies available. One of their more popular items is the various forms of RCA home theater systems.

With an RCA home theater system, you have a wide range of choices. Television monitors range in size from 22 inches to over 50 inches. Surround sound comes in either 5.1 surround sound or 6.1 surround sound. Along with a great range of options, when you get an RCA system you’re getting some of the most top notch, top of the line, most up to date technology around. You can pick from various DVD players, radios, speaker wattage… it’s a veritable mix and match of what you can chose to have in your living room, all while having the satisfaction that you’re buying the best on the market at a great price.

An RCA home theater system is also energy efficient, making it better for the environment than ever before. In 2008, all models were compliant with Energy Star regulators, and were even equipped with a Dynamic Room Light Sensor which is able to detect any ambient light in the room (such as sunlight coming in through a window or a lamp in the room being on) and automatically adjust the brightness of the screen accordingly, using less power to showcase your favorite TV show or DVD. These allow you to be entertained with TV (America’s number 1 pastime) as you have before, but by using less energy you’re saving the environment as well as lowering your electric bills (which helps save your bank account!).

RCA home theater systems have some of the most affordable prices around while having more features than the competition including richer video quality on higher resolution 1080p HDTV systems, clearer more crisp audio with their high quality 5.1 or 6.1 surround sound speakers, and universal remotes to help you operate every function of your home entertainment center with a single device. It’s no wonder RCA is one of the top brands in the electronics world today.

Like their name boasts, they truly are a pioneer in the industry, often coming up with new electronic devices before any other brand has a chance. In 1962, Pioneer introduced us to the world’s first separate stereo system. In 1975 they gave us the very first component car stereo. They brought the first 2-way addressable Cable TV system in 1977, in ‘79 and ‘80 they were one of the forerunners for LaserDisc Players and in 1984 they developed the first machine to play both LaserDiscs AND CDs.

Also in 1984 the world’s first ever car CD player was brought about by Pioneer. They produced the world’s first CD that is based GPS unit in 1990, the first ever 4X CD-Rom car changer in 1992, the first DVD/CD/LD player in 1996, and the first very DVD based GPS in 1997. They’re also the masterminds behind the world’s first DVD-R drive, the first OEL-equipped car audio product, the first 50-inch HD plasma screen TV, the first DVD-RW recorder, the first DVD player for professional DJ’s and VJ’s, and in 2008 they developed a 16-layer BlueRay Disc that can store 400GB. With all these great devices, it’s only natural that many people are after Pioneer home theater systems.

Being the leader in DVD, Blue Ray, and HDTV technology, it’s no wonder that Pioneer home theater systems are some of the most innovative and powerful home theater systems on the market today. Coming in a variety of colors and wattage, along with Pioneer’s highest quality High Definition TVs and 5.1 surround sound speaker system makes Pioneer stand out as a high quality and innovative home theater brand name. And with prices starting in the low $200 price range, Pioneer’s home theater equipment is one of the most affordable and consumer friendly systems around.

While Pioneer home theater systems are popular and in demand, they won’t be around for a whole lot longer. On February 12, 2009, Pioneer made the public announcement that it will be discontinuing its line of television sets by March of 2010. So if you haven’t done so already, you should get your home theater system from the most innovative electronics brand around before your opportunity to do so is gone, and you only have a year or less to do so.
